Who does the work

I do. I’ve worked in SEO since 2010, first in-house and then as a consultant, handling agency overflow work alongside my own clients. In-house, I ran SEO for bilingual sites and worked with product marketing, support, content writers and outside agencies on the same pages. As a consultant, I’ve built and led remote teams of writers and link builders. For the last 10 years, most of that work has been in B2B technology: telecom, MSPs and SaaS.

The lesson from all of it: in these markets, Google and AI tools reward the vendor who explains the buyer’s problem in the buyer’s own words. Brand size matters less than most teams expect. 6sense’s 2025 Buyer Experience Report puts a number on the stakes: the winning vendor was already on the buyer’s day-one shortlist 95% of the time. If buyers don’t find you while they research, you aren’t on that list. My job as your AI SEO consultant is to put you on that list, in Google results and in the answers AI tools give.

Data-Driven Recommendations
Every recommendation starts with your search data, competitor gaps and the queries your buyers type. The work goes to searches that turn into leads, not the ones that only bring traffic.

Decade+ of SEO Experience
I’ve worked through every major Google update since 2010, from Panda to the Helpful Content Update, and now AI search. The tactics I use are the ones that survived them all.

Direct Collaboration
No account managers and no handoffs between teams. I audit your site, set the strategy, review the work before it goes live and answer your emails myself, from day one.

Questions B2B marketing teams ask me

The questions B2B marketing leaders and SaaS founders ask me most about SEO, AI search and lead generation. Every stat links to its source.
Is SEO still worth it now that AI Overviews answer the question?

Yes, but the value has moved. The top-ranking page loses clicks when an AI Overview appears: across 300,000 keywords, Ahrefs measured a 34.5% lower click-through rate for position 1 in its 2025 study. Informational traffic is shrinking. Commercial and comparison searches still send clicks, and the same work that earns rankings makes you a source AI tools can cite. I now plan B2B content around both outcomes, a click or a citation, and report on each.

Are our buyers using ChatGPT to find vendors?

More than half of them start there. A survey of 1,076 B2B software buyers found 51% now begin software research in an AI chatbot more often than in Google, per G2’s 2026 Answer Economy report. In G2’s 2026 AI Search Insight Report, a survey of 1,076 B2B software buyers, 51% said they now begin software research in an AI chatbot more often than in Google. 69% chose a different vendor than they first expected, and 33% bought from a brand they had never heard of after a chatbot recommended it. If the chatbot doesn’t mention you, you lose deals you never knew were open.

Can you get us cited in ChatGPT, Copilot and AI Overviews?

Nobody can guarantee a citation, and I’d be wary of anyone who does. What I can do is build pages AI tools find easy to quote: one buyer question answered clearly near the top, with entity and schema markup that tells the tools who you are. For a Canadian taxation SaaS product, that work earned 76.2K Microsoft Copilot citations across 8 pages in 12 months. Page 1 rankings alone won’t get you there. According to Ahrefs’ March 2026 study, only 38% of pages cited in Google AI Overviews rank in the top 10 for the same query, down from 76% eight months earlier.

How do you measure AI search visibility?

I built my own AI visibility tool for this. It runs the questions your buyers ask through ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity on a fixed schedule and logs which brands and sources each one names. Bing Webmaster Tools adds the Copilot side, with citations reported page by page. Your rank tracker can’t fill that gap. Only 12% of URLs cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot, Ahrefs found in August 2025, rank in Google’s top 10 for the same prompt.

We’re an early-stage SaaS on a new domain. Is it too early for SEO?

Not if you start with the right searches. A new domain can’t win broad head terms, but it can rank for narrow problem, comparison queries, and bottom of the funnel keywords where bigger competitors have thin pages. A Canadian taxation micro-SaaS started at zero search visibility and reached page 1 for its target terms in five months. The trade-off is volume. Those early searches are small, but the people typing them are close to buying.

How long before organic search pays for itself?

Plan for 9 to 12 months on a B2B site. Ranking movement shows earlier, but traffic that converts takes longer. A Canadian proptech platform grew search impressions 45.3% in the four months after a domain migration. A specialty paint manufacturer got 47.7% more leads in its slowest season, December to March. If someone promises page 1 in 90 days, ask how they plan to get the links.
